Collaborative Project Courses Faculty Fellowship
For faculty interested in designing courses in which student learning is driven by collaborative engagement with semester-long applied projects that extend across an entire semester.
Offered in collaboration with Bass Connections, the CPC Fellowship provides support and a peer learning community for faculty who are interested in designing courses in which student learning is driven by collaborative engagement with applied projects that extend across an entire semester.
The Teaching and Mentoring Excellence Collaborative
Bringing faculty together to advance the 2030 Teaching and Mentoring Excellence framework.
Offered in collaboration with the Office for Faculty Advancement, this faculty-led learning community brings together colleagues from across schools, disciplines, faculty tracks, and career stages. Participants will exchange effective practices, reflect on challenges and opportunities in teaching and mentoring, and learn from the experiences and perspectives of colleagues across Duke.
Peer Course Evaluation
Advancing teaching excellence through peer observation, evaluation, and professional growth.
Duke faculty share the goal of providing a high-quality education, and yet Duke recognizes that teaching is a skill in which everyone can continue to improve. To supplement student course evaluations, the CTL supports the Duke Provost’s Office in offering faculty the opportunity to have a “Peer Course Evaluation,” including observations of their classroom approaches and evaluation of their syllabus. Such peer evaluations can supplement student evaluations and statements about their teaching approaches and accomplishments for internal evaluations, promotions, and recognitions.
